Siamo lieti di ospitare ancora una volta il Maestro Tran Quang Hai, considerato il più grande specialista al mondo di canto armonico (o difonico), una tecnica vocale di origine sciamanica diffusa in Mongolia, Siberia e Sudafrica.Per partecipare al workshop non è necessaria nessuna formazione pregressa in canto/voce, ma la sola voglia di conoscere e scoprire questa affascinante tecnica.TRAN QUANG HAIMaestro di artisti come Demetrio Stratos, Andrea de Luca, Massi di Carlo. Tran Quang Hai proviene da una famiglia di cinque generazioni di musicisti. Il padre Tran Van Khe era tra i maggiori studiosi di musica vietnamita. Nato nel Vietnam del Sud, Tran Quang Hai ha studiato al Conservatorio di Saigon e quindi in Francia presso il Centre d’Etudes de Musique Orientale di Parigi; dal 1968 fa parte del gruppo di ricerca del CNRS, dipartimento di musicologia presso il Musée de l’Homme di Parigi. Polistrumentista, suona oltre quindici strumenti musicali vietnamiti, cinesi, indiani, iraniani, indonesiani ed europei. Compositore, autore e curatore di numerose pubblicazioni (saggi, documentari, dischi), per la sua attività scientifica e musicale ha ottenuto numerosi riconoscimenti internazionali. Siamo lieti di ospitare ancora una volta il Maestro Tran Quang Hai, considerato il più grande specialista al mondo di canto armonico (o difonico), una tecnica vocale di origine sciamanica diffusa in Mongolia, Siberia e Sudafrica.
Vi aspettiamo negli splendidi spazi della Ex_Filanda di Sulbiate per conoscere ed approfondire questa meravigliosa tecnica vocale, che permette di modulare armonicamente il suono della voce cantando due o più note contemporaneamente.
Per partecipare al workshop non è necessaria nessuna formazione pregressa in canto/voce, ma la sola voglia di conoscere e scoprire questa affascinante tecnica.

We are pleased to once again host Maestro Tran Quang Hai, considered the world’s largest specialist in harmonic (or diphonic) singing, a vocal technique of shamanic origin widespread in Mongolia, Siberia and South Africa.
We are waiting for you in the splendid spaces of the Ex_Filanda of Sulbiate to know and deepen this wonderful vocal technique, which allows you to harmonically modulate the sound of the voice by singing two or more notes simultaneously.
No previous vocal / vocational training is required to participate in the workshop, but the only desire to know and discover this fascinating technique.

Master of artists such as Demetrio Stratos,Andrea de Luca, Massi di Carlo . Tran Quang Hai comes from a family of five generations of musicians. His father, Prof.Dr. Tran Van Khe was among the leading Vietnamese music scholars. Born in South Vietnam, Tran Quang Hai studied at the Saigon Conservatory and then in France at the Center d’Etudes de Musique Orientale in Paris; since 1968 he has been part of the CNRS research group,ethnomusicology department at the Musée de l'Homme in Paris. Multi-instrumentalist, he plays over fifteen Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, Iranian, Indonesian and European musical instruments. Composer, author and curator of numerous publications (essays, documentaries, records), for his scientific and musical activity he has obtained numerous international awards. He has performed in over three thousand five hundred concerts in seventy countries, contributing to the introduction of the diphonic technique in contemporary music.

CONTENUTI DEL WORKSHOP:Durante il seminario, Tran Quang Hai insegnerà le 2 tecniche di base del canto armonico:Tecnica della cavità a una bocca con serie inferiori di sovratoni.Tecnica di due cavità della bocca con serie superiori di sovratoni.Esercizi per l’improvvisazione e la creazione collettiva.Esercizi per il controllo di ogni tono.Miglioramento delle sfumature imparando a ridurre il suono fondamentale.Imparare come ascoltare le proprie sfumature per creare piccole melodie.

Tran Quang Hai, vietnamita residente a Parigi, è un musicista di talento e rinomato che proviene da una famiglia di cinque generazioni di musicisti. Ha lavorato come etnomusicologo per il Centro Nazionale per la Ricerca Scientifica in Francia dal 1968, annesso al Dipartimento di Etnomusicologia del Musee de l’Homme. //ENGLISH VERSION//Workshop of khoomei or throat singing.Khoomei is the name used in Tuva and Mongolia to describe a large family of singing styles and techniques in which a single vocalist simultaneously produces two (or more) distinct tones. The lower one is the usual fundamental tone of the voice and sounds as a sustained drone or a Scottish bagpipe sound. The second corresponds to one of the harmonic partials and is like a resonating whistle in a high, or very high register. During the workshop, Tran Quang Hai will teach the 2 basic techniques of overtone singing:Technique of one mouth cavity with lower series of overtones;Technique of two mouth cavities with higher series of overtones.Exercices for improvisation and collective creation.Exercices for the control of each overtoneImprovement of overtones by learning how to reduce the fundamental soundLearning of how to listen to own overtones in order to create small melodiesTRAN QUANG HAITran Quang Hai ,a talented and renowned musician who comes from a family of five generations of musicians. had been working as an ethnomusicologist for the National Center for Scientific Research in France since 1968, attached to the Department of Ethnomusicology of the Musee de l’Homme.
