Most people know the sound of a steel drum. However, not that many know its smaller cousin the hang. Bruno Bieri beautifully plays this instrument while adding numerous colors through his overtone singing. Through Nature-yodeling and overtone singing, he explores the reproduction of natural tones exemplified in alphorn and yodel singing. His concerts have taken him to India, the USA, the UK, Norway, and Saudi Arabia. Bieri is currently a freelance musician and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW. Besides singing, Bruno’s passion is most definitely the alphorn.
