Siamo lieti di ospitare ancora una volta il Maestro Tran Quang Hai, considerato il più grande specialista al mondo di canto armonico (o difonico), una tecnica vocale di origine sciamanica diffusa in Mongolia, Siberia e Sudafrica.Per partecipare al workshop non è necessaria nessuna formazione pregressa in canto/voce, ma la sola voglia di conoscere e scoprire questa affascinante tecnica.TRAN QUANG HAIMaestro di artisti come Demetrio Stratos, Andrea de Luca, Massi di Carlo. Tran Quang Hai proviene da una famiglia di cinque generazioni di musicisti. Il padre Tran Van Khe era tra i maggiori studiosi di musica vietnamita. Weil der erste Kurs sofort ausgebucht war, biete ich ab 30.10.2020 einen zweiten Kurs an.
Dieser Kurs bietet Dir eine einmalige Gelegenheit: Seit 2003 biete ich diese Ausbildungsgruppe alle ein bis zwei Jahre auf hohem Niveau für jeweils eine kleine erlesene Gruppe von 12 Teilnehmern an. Wegen der derzeitigen Abstandsverordnungen ist der Kurs auf nur 4 TeilnehmerInnen beschränkt. Unterrichten ist meine Leidenschaft und ich möchte die Gelegenheit nutzen, vier bsonders engagierte wissenshungrige SchülerInnen, Enthusiasten, zu schulen, die bereit sind, sich ein halbes Jahr auf eine intensive Erfahrung des Erlernens dieser besonderen Gesangstechnik einzulassen und auch zu Hause zu üben. Bei nur 4 Teilnehmern werde ich auf jede Stimme so individuell eingehen können, wie nie zuvor. Ich bin gespannt, wie weit wir kommen werden. Weiterer Vorteil: reduzierte Mehrwertsteuer bis Ende des Jahres.

Inhalte
Mit dieser in Europa einzigartigen, seit 2003 etablierten Ausbildung kannst Du in die Profi-Liga des Obertongesangs aufsteigen. Wie weit Du kommst und wieviel Zeit Du zwischen den Kursen investieren willst, bestimmst Du selbst. Ich begleite Dich gern über Deine eigenen Erwartungen hinaus. Du kannst den Kurs nutzen, um anschließend selber zu unterrichten, aufzutreten oder zu komponieren. Oder Du nutzt die tiefe Erfahrung der Obertöne für Dich selbst. und kannst in diesem intensiven Kurs Deine Obertontechnik auf ein Niveau entwickeln, mit dem Du in der Lage bist, selber Obertongesang zu unterrichten, wenn Du das möchtest, oder auch nur für Dich selbst tiefer in Deine eigene Obertonerfahrung eintauchen.
An fünf aufeinander aufbauenden Wochenenden vermittle ich alle wichtigen Aspekte des Obertongesangs. Die praxisorientierte Ausbildung optimiert vor allem den Obertonklang, die Leichtigkeit der Stimme, die Lautstärke und Klarheit der Obertöne, die Melodieführung und Virtuosität, sowie die Bandbreite musikalischer und derzeit bekannter therapeutischer Anwendungen der Obertöne. Es wird eine solide Wissensbasis aufgebaut, die als Grundlage didaktische Erfolge aber auch für neue Techniken wie Gesangs- und Chorphonetik wichtig ist. Wir werden uns Zeit nehmen, mit Instrumenten zu improvisieren. Ich habe unzählige Instrumente zur Verfügung. Wir werden jeden Abend mit einer meditativen Visionsreise abschließen, die auf die speziellen Vorgänge, die beim intensiven Obertonsingen und -hören im Gehirn geschehen, abgestimmt sind. Obertonsingen ist trotz aller Wissenschaftlichkeit eine ganzheitliche Erfahrung.
Weitere Inhalte sind: Vertiefende Kenntnisse der Vokal- und Formantbildung, Kontrolle des 2. und 3. Stimmformanten. Verfeinerung der Obertongesangstechniken (darunter: R- und L-Technik, Techniken zur erweiterten Kontrolle des Vokaltrakts im Rachenraum, Verbesserung der Resonanz im vorderen Mundbereich, Zungenfeinmotorik), Erweiterung des Stimmvolumens, Nutzen der Raumresonanz, Atmung. Neue Stimm- und Gehörübungen zum Resonanzverhalten der Stimme. Herleiten und Singen reiner Intonationen durch Teiltonhören. Polyphonie im Obertongesang, Singpraxis und Kompositionsregeln Improvisation mit Obertönen in Gruppen und solistisch. Wirkung der Klangfarbe in der Sprachkommunikation. Körperübungen zur Integration neuer Klangvorstellungen. Chorarbeit, Anwendungen für klassischen Chor, Resonanzsingen, Stimmhygiene
Die Obertongesangs-Ausbildung umfasst 90 Unterrichtseinheiten plus Online-Webinar und endet mit dem Erhalt eines Zertifikats. Zusätzlich gibt es zu jedem Block persönliche Coaching-Zeit mit Wolfgang Saus per Internet.
Den Absolventen steht ein Netzwerk zur Verfügung, um Erfahrungen auszutauschen und Unterstützung bei Fragen und zur Weiterentwicklung zu erhalten. Es gibt in Abständen offene Absolventen-Treffen für Fortbildung und Austausch. Für Absolventen besteht die Möglichkeit der Teilnahme an einer Masterclass.
Zielgruppe/Voraussetzungen
Egal ob Du Obertongesang beruflich nutzen oder als Erfahrung für Dich selbst vertiefen möchtest, dieser Kurs ist für Menschen, die sich wirklich für Obertongesang begeistern und bereit sind, sich ein halbes Jahr auf eine intensive Erfahrung des Erlernens dieser besonderen Gesangstechnik einzulassen. Der Kurs ist auch geeignet für Berufssänger, die Obertongesang als extended vocal technique auf der Bühne nutzen oder ihre Gesangspädagogik um das Wissen um Resonanz und Obertöne erweitern möchten. Der Kurs legt zudem die Basis für Chorphonetik, die Chorleiter zur gezielten Gestaltung von Intonationen und Homogenität nutzen können. Therapeuten werden die verschiedenen Arten der Wirkung von Obertönen und die mit der Ausbildung einhergehende stimmliche Empathiefähigkeit zu schätzen wissen.
Voraussetzungen: Wichtig ist mir, dass Du Dich gerne auf meine gesangstechnisch und wissenschaftlich orientierte Herangehensweise einläßt. Am besten ist natürlich, Du hast mich schonmal erlebt. Das Angebot richtet sich deshalb in erster Linie an ehemalige TeilnehmerInnen einer meiner Fortbildungen oder eines Kurses bei einem meiner Absolventen.
Aber auch wenn Du bei einem meiner Kollegen einen Einführungskurs besucht oder autodidaktisch Obertongesang gelernt hast, kannst Du Dich für den Kurs bewerben. Eine gute Voraussetzung ist, wenn Du bereits weiss, was die L-Technik ist. Falls Gesang, Stimme oder Musik Dein Hauptberuf sind, kannst Du möglicherweise sogar ohne Vorkenntnisse einsteigen, da akademisch studierte Musiker die Grundlagen erfahrungsgemäß oft schnell aufholen können. Zahlungsbedingungen: Eine Rechnung erhälst Du, sobald sicher ist, dass der Kurs auf Basis der bestehenden Bestimmungen stattfinden kann. Der Betrag gilt für 5 Wochenenden je 321,60 € und wird in einem Betrag fällig. Falls ich als Dozent ein Wochenende absagen müsste und keinen geeigneten Ersatzdozenten finde und kein Ersatztermin im Konsenz gefunden wird, wird der anteilige Kursbeitrag selbstverständlich erstattet. Das gilt auch, falls ein Wochenende wegen neuer Corona-Maßnahmen abgesagt werden muss. Wenn Du als Teilnehmer ein odere mehrere Wochenenden versäumst, wird die Kursgebühr nicht erstattet. Deshalb empfehle ich, eine Seminarversicherung für die Wochenenden abzuschließen (z. B. ERV oder HanseMerkur), die z. Wolfgang Saus singt seit 1983 Obertöne, lehrt seit 1994 Obertongesang hauptberuflich und entablierte 2003 diese Ausbildung in westlichem Obertongesang. Viele seiner SchülerInnen sind inzwischen bekannte und rennomierte ObertonsängerInnen. Als Pionier in der Obertongesangsforschung ist er für seinen gesangspädagogisch fundierten und humorvollen Unterrichtsstil bekannt. Sein Fachbuch „Oberton Singen“ gilt als Standardwerk in Musikbibliotheken und ist das erste Fachbuch zum Thema westlicher Obertongesang. Als Initiator und Mitentwickler der Stimmanalyse-Software Overtone Analyzer/VoceVista Video ist er führend in der wissenschaftlichen Erforschung und Weiterentwicklung der Gesangstechnik. 1983 erweiterte er seine damalige Spezialisierung auf zeitgenössische Musik als klassischer Bariton um Obertongesang als extended vocal technique. Sein Ziel ist es, seine in mehr als 30 Jahren gesammelte Erfahung, sein Wissen und Können zum Phänomen Obertonsingen an Enthusiaten weiter zu geben. VOICE YOGA SUMMER RETREAT: FOR WHOM? Anyone can attend, no experience with yoga or music is necessary. Making sounds and learning about the connections between sound and movement, tones and physical vibrations, and not yoga per se, are the main purpose of this retreat. We are working to create an atmosphere of inclusion and acceptance. We make sure people of different levels of physical, mental, musical and other development feel supported and encouraged to grow and explore. We do our best to accommodate the program to the different levels of the participants and let you decide to skip or tone down certain exercises when you feel they are too demanding.
DATES & TIMES We start Saturday August 22 at 9 AM and suggest you arrive the evening before. We finish after lunch on Tuesday 25th, around 1:30 PM.
This is the first time we do this in high Summer and we might adapt the program a bit to accommodate to the needs and energies of the group – and to the weather.

Tyva Kyzy est l’un des groupes de musique traditionnelle de Sibérie les plus connus actuellement. En créant son groupe en 1998, Choduraa Tumat l’appelle Tyva Kyzy –littéralement « les Filles touva » – pour se démarquer les hommes qui pratiquent généralement le chant diphonique. Le groupe reste aujourd’hui le premier et le seul ensemble de femmes pratiquant ce chant étonnant. Les cinq musiciennes et chanteuses vous emmènent aux sons des instruments à cordes et de la guimbarde dans les steppes d’Asie centrale. Attention, ça décoiffe !
Le chant diphonique fait rêver par la performance qu’il implique : un même chanteur produit plusieurs sons simultanément, une fondamentale et des harmoniques, ceci dans des styles différents. Chant de montagne, le chant diphonique fait penser tantôt à une flûte ou un petit oiseau, tantôt au vent glissant sur les rochers. Intemporel, il nous transporte dans un ailleurs ancestral et nous plonge dans une autre dimension sonore !
La République de Touva est une petite enclave géographique au milieu des montagnes. Politiquement russes, culturellement turco-mongoles, non loin de l’ensemble chinois, les steppes touva accueillent des nomades, parmi lesquels près d’un quart pratiquent aujourd’hui le chant diphonique. On considère que le chant de gorge de Touva, le « Khöömei », est très différent de celui pratiqué dans l’Altaï, en Bouriatie ou en Mongolie, notamment parce qu’il fait appel à ses styles variés. Traditionnellement, il existe cinq styles : le kargyraa, le khöömei, le sygyt, le borbannadyr et le ezengileer. On dit à Touva que si vous écoutez le chant de gorge les yeux fermés, il est impossible de deviner si ces sons sont émis par une personne vivante ou par un instrument de musique.

Voice Yoga is an integral approach to body & movement, breath, sound & silence. It is taught weekly in Taipei by Mark van Tongeren.
In Voice Yoga’s dynamic group process, students go beyond their own habits and expectations. Often, something larger than ourselves emerges: a flow of hidden creative potential. We work with all kinds of sounds without meaning, without emphasizing a beautiful voice. They help us to get beyond common subject-object and mind-body dualities, and bring our unconscious selves and irrational emotions to the surface. The group process becomes a mirror for the self and allows us to ‘see’ ourselves more clearly, to hear what’s living deep inside.
INSTRUCTOR Designed and taught by Mark van Tongeren, a Dutch sound explorer with a deep interest in the synergy of arts, sciences and contemplative traditions. Mark has 25+ years of experience in theatre, music and dance productions and holds a PhD from Leiden University’s Academy of Creative of Performing Arts.
CONTENT Voice Yoga consists of exercises that give pride of place to the voice as a central, creative force in our lives. Human existence depends in important ways on our speaking, listening, sounding and singing abilities. The class promotes awareness of the many roles of the voice in our daily lives. It expands our creative vocabulary, without necessarily talking about music, the singing voice or any musical style. The point is not so much to learn any specific new technique: we play with the voice in a lot of different ways and listen with fresh ears to the hidden potential of our voices.
In Voice Yoga, sound, silence and resonance become a mirror for the self. The sounds produced by ourselves, allows us to ‘see’ ourselves more clearly, to hear what’s living deep inside us. In ever-growing cycles of creating and perceiving we learn about music and sound, about ourselves and about the environment.
We usually start with silence, breath and body movements to turn away from our busy mind into the body and to the sensations we actually experience. We let the voice come out of a natural breath flow. We listen to and follow its natural resonances. We do not try to sing in an artful way, but to experience how body-mind-voice are intimately connected, and how voice and resonance can serve as a bridge to overcome the dualistic notion of body <> mind.
From then on, all kinds of styles and genres of vocalising and musicking may happen, some structured, some wild, some giving insight in your voice, some therapeutic. Exercises are based on yoga, musical and theatrical techniques, vipassana meditation and our innate love to play like children.
The idea behind Voice Yoga is comparable to yoga and tai-chi: the effect of the exercises is gradual. We believe that only with repeated classes you can really learn to connect the energies of voice & sound with the whole of your body and mind. You slowly become more and more familiar with your voice and its powers; you will begin to hear and feel things you did not hear and feel before. That’s why we suggest you to sign up for four classes a time after your trial class.
FOR WHOM For those seeking to enrich their voices, let off steam and unlock their hidden creative potential. For singers and those who are afraid to sing. For actors, musicians and other artists and professionals who work with sound. Perhaps more than anyone else, people who want to experience and learn about the therapeutical effects of sound seem to benefit from Voice Yoga.
LANGUAGE The class is slowly transitioning to a Mandarin class, as Mark improves his skills. Expect some English too (and don’t mind too much about the talking anyway – the sounds will speak to you).
PRICE Every class lasts 2 hours. The price is 400 NT$ for a single class, and 1500 NT$ for four classes (375 NT$ per class). Student, 65+ and disadvantaged discount of 25% (300NT$/one class ; 1125 NT$/four classes). You do not have to attend four classes in a row but like you to use up your credit in about two months, three months at most; we’ll just tick off your presence four times and then you can sign up again for four times.

We are pleased to once again host Maestro Tran Quang Hai, considered the world’s largest specialist in harmonic (or diphonic) singing, a vocal technique of shamanic origin widespread in Mongolia, Siberia and South Africa.
We are waiting for you in the splendid spaces of the Ex_Filanda of Sulbiate to know and deepen this wonderful vocal technique, which allows you to harmonically modulate the sound of the voice by singing two or more notes simultaneously.
No previous vocal / vocational training is required to participate in the workshop, but the only desire to know and discover this fascinating technique.

Master of artists such as Demetrio Stratos,Andrea de Luca, Massi di Carlo . Tran Quang Hai comes from a family of five generations of musicians. His father, Prof.Dr. Tran Van Khe was among the leading Vietnamese music scholars. Born in South Vietnam, Tran Quang Hai studied at the Saigon Conservatory and then in France at the Center d’Etudes de Musique Orientale in Paris; since 1968 he has been part of the CNRS research group,ethnomusicology department at the Musée de l'Homme in Paris. Multi-instrumentalist, he plays over fifteen Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, Iranian, Indonesian and European musical instruments. Composer,author and curator of numerous publications (essays, documentaries, records), for his scientific and musical activity he has obtained numerous international awards. He has performed in over three thousand five hundred concerts in seventy countries, contributing to the introduction of the diphonic technique in contemporary music.

Tran Quang Hai, vietnamita residente a Parigi, è un musicista di talento e rinomato che proviene da una famiglia di cinque generazioni di musicisti. //ENGLISH VERSION//Workshop of khoomei or throat singing.Khoomei is the name used in Tuva and Mongolia to describe a large family of singing styles and techniques in which a single vocalist simultaneously produces two (or more) distinct tones. The lower one is the usual fundamental tone of the voice and sounds as a sustained drone or a Scottish bagpipe sound. The second corresponds to one of the harmonic partials and is like a resonating whistle in a high, or very high register.
