With their program “Okyo” (japanese. “prayer”) they show the sound dimensions between linguistic and instrumental overtone aspects. Vetter is a pioneer of western overtone-singing-music and he developed his overtone-vocal-techniques already in the late 60ties influenced by K. Stockhausen with whom he worked closely. One can say that all methods for overtone singing that are mainly used today are based on Vetter´s developed techniques. His systematic exercise instructions for overtone singing are published, among others, on the CD “Om – an overtone school” by Schott Verlag. Natascha is the master disciple of Michael Vetter and teaches overtone singing after his method (Teaching video and DVD: Dao of Overtone Singing:http://www.natascha-nikeprelevic.de/e…). Together they form the first explicit overtone singing duet using the Vetter-Style. Natascha.Nikeprelevic: Overtone Singing for voice a cappella: “Towards the Light” (Hinwendung zum Licht). This “Overtone Aria” (Part II) is the Encore of my concert program “allOne” (allein). The piece is a 60 minutes lasting solo piece for voice acapella. The theme is to really be alone with your bare voice and your presence in the empty space. To be “alone” and at the same time to feel the “allOne”. Only in the solitude you can experience that you are repealed in the whole. The concert took place on the occasion of the 1.000 years anniversary of a church. The backdrop is a golden wall with paintings from the Late Middle Ages and gives the scene its very special atmosphere. This clip was the inspiration for the producers of the movie AUSGERECHNET SIBIRIEN to ask Natascha for two songs. Natascha loaned the film character “Sajana” her voice: Exclusively for the movie AUSGERECHNET SIBIRIEN Natascha composed and sang the overtone song and the song for soprano and tambura and choreographed the hand movements of Shor singer in the movie.
